two new categories to vote
With the Oscars behind us and the Emmys still months away, it’s MTV’s turn to declare the year’s best shows and movies — because who better to judge quality entertainment than the network that gave us Snooki?
Nominations for the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards were announced Wednesday, with very few surprises across the board.
Come on, are you really surprised that the most small-screen nods went to conversation-dominating shows like The Last of Us, Stranger Things, Wednesday and The White Lotus?
And multiple nominations for huge movies like Top Gun: Maverick, Scream VI and Avatar: The Way of Water? Who could have predicted that!
Still, there is plenty to be excited about in this year’s list, including several first-time nominees like Quinta Brunson, Jennifer Coolidge and Harry Styles. We also have two new categories to vote in this year — Best Reality On-Screen Team and Best Kick-Ass Cast.
Speaking of voting, fans can now officially cast their ballots for this year’s winners at vote.mtv.com through Friday, April 7 at 6/5c. Hosted by Drew Barrymore, the big show airs live from Los Angeles’ Barker Hangar on Sunday, May 7 at 8 pm.
